Today

Today was a holiday for me. Yesterday I'd had a hellish early evening, stuck in traffic as I desperately tried to make my way back across country in time for a Cheeky Young Monkeys-fest. Traffic was everywhere. Cars were everywhere. But I made it! The traffic cleared and I began to zoom at precarious speeds along dimly lit country lanes through torrential rain making it to the Railway Hotel on the dot of nine.
I had a really bad dream last night. Vivid. I dreamt that I was living in a flat and that lots of people kept coming in (who I didn't recognise). This was, I learned, because the doors didn't shut properly and kept opening. All this wasn't so bad but there was one guy who openly confessed to me that he'd stolen a lot of my stuff - my TV and hi-fi etc. He was brazen about it. I contemplated shooting him but in the end decided to go round to his house and tell his Mum and Dad!
Today was all right. I went for a walk in Southend High Street, which I love. I had a coffee in Utopia and chatted with the owner there. I felt the really really cold air on my head, yet in myself I felt warm. I love this bracing ourselves against the elements, it's so dramatic.
